Ohio Valley's Nationals Soccer Club started Gameweek 37 ranked #9 across the country. Consider the following:
- The team begins the week with a cumulative PTS-G of 2.23.
- During Gameweek 37, they play 12 games, and deliver PTS-G of 1.58 during the week.
- Net effect: their cumulative PTS-G drops by 0.09, and they lose a coveted position inside the nation's Top 10.
Let's also highlight that - during this current season - this organization was ranked #1 across the country for 15 consecutive gameweeks in a row. It's a strong organization, and we look-forward to its winning ways in the upcoming postseason.
Mid-Atlantic's Charlotte SA Academy only had to play 1 game this week. They won that game - improved their PTS-G by 0.01 - and entered the nation's Top 25.

At SoccerAnalytix, we're perpetually-intrigued by performance variances across conferences and age groups. With high GF-G, does it mean that there are "really-strong" teams inside a conference... or does it mean that it's a relatively less-competitive conference? It turns-out that it's always a mix of both reasons... and - over time - we'll present to you a statistical approach that isolates each one of these aspects.
By the way, due to expected lower game-volumes, we'll review Gameweek 38+39 through a single episode in 2 weeks.
That's it for this week!
